…So I got to shoot FOXFIGHT’s new music video!
by on Aug.12, 2012, under Uncategorized
London metallers FOXFIGHT released the music video for their new song ‘Lunatic’ this past Tuesday via YouTube and the track will be available for streaming through their Facebook page until the release of the band’s yet untitled EP via iTunes.
FOXFIGHT’s guitarist Blair Stickle is confident on the band’s strong new line-up, adding FOXFIGHT “will continue to write and record throughout 2012 and into the New Year.” 2012 is already busy with numerous appearances—worth noting are the Simcoe Metal Fest and recently Baptized In Blood’s homecoming show in London, Canada.
Established in 2007, FOXFIGHT has waltzed in and out of the southern Ontario music scene since. Founding members Dev Meron and Steve Bonnett are now joined by Blair Stickle (BURNusBOTH), Dave Goodman (The Jettison Commitment) and Alex Johnston (Baptized In Blood) – writing and recording new material “as a sample of what to expect from the bands new line-up” says Blair Stickle.
“The response [to new material] at recent shows has been quite impressive. FOXFIGHT has one of the most entertaining live performances of their kind. It’s groovy, you will bang your head from beginning to end. That is a promise!”

Open Letter to Dave Mustaine

First I would like to thank you for almost thirty years of music. I have looked up to you since a very early age and your opinions and outlook on politics and social awareness has helped shape my own outlooks—not because I’m a fan of yours but because up until very recently I agreed with a lot of your ideas and opinions. I am 25 years old and have been a fan for over half of my life, when Megadeth first entered my life in the summer of 2000 after you visited my home country touring behind Risk. Your unapologetic views and fiery ideas made an impact on me—I never knew lyrics like Holy Wars existed but after finding them I was convinced that common sense was not lost and I truly felt you were a crusader for good.
Do You Remember Rock ‘n’ Roll Radio?

Just a few days back Alan Cross wrote about his Worries About Rock Radio and I must say I wholeheartedly agree with him. I’m not just saying this to sound cool or because he’s Alan fuckin’ Cross but because I think he’s one of the few on-air voices that still ‘gets it,’ and presents a well balanced perspective on how things look from behind the console. Part of this post is copied straight from exchanged emails however I’ve chosen to expand a little more on the topic to fully explain my take on things.
